AIAT at the Catholic AI Forum at the Vatican

The Vatican is emerging as a significant hub for exploring Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on humanity. Through a series of events, forums, and conferences, the Vatican has delved into the intersection of AI, society, and religion, fostering discussions that bridge technology and ethical considerations.

These gatherings bring together scholars, technology experts, and business leaders to discuss how emerging technologies can be integrated to advance humanity’s well-being. Notably, one such event aims to unite leaders in “Catholic AI,” venture capitalists, angel investors, and prominent AI researchers and thought leaders. During one of these discussions, Keyun Ruan, Chief Information Security Officer at Alphabet (Google’s parent company), remarked that defining the purpose and role of artificial general intelligence (AGI) in serving humanity represents “a broader conversation that we have never really had at a global level.”

We are proud that Dr. Zbigniew Zdiziarski, Head of our R&D Department, has been invited to participate in the Catholic AI Forum at the Holy See. This opportunity allows us to gain valuable insights into the Vatican’s forward-thinking initiatives in this transformative field.
