Student Representative Council

The Student Representative Council (SRC) facilitates regular communication and consultation between the CEO and student representatives on student-related matters and provide student representation on AIAT committees. It also provides an opportunity for students to have input into any changes that AIAT might be considering and for students to interact with other students.

The SRC advises and assists AIAT with the planning and delivery of extra-curricula activities and provides a student voice into AIAT’s academic activities.

Student feedback and recommendations will be sought in regards to, but not limited to:

  • Student amenities and services
  • AIAT policies and procedures in regards to the student experience
  • Student experience for students based on campus or studying online
  • AIAT’s physical, cultural and technological learning environment


SRC will provide student representatives to Academic Board, Learning and Teaching Committee, Student Welfare and Services Committee as identified in the AIAT Governance Charter.

SRC members are elected each year and will have one representative from each year of each course (a total of 6 members).
